An agreement to minimize poverty of Nepal has been made between Social Welfare Council (SWC) and China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation (CFPA). On the occasion, representatives of duo sides signed an agreement paper in which CFPA would spend one million American dollars in a year in the series of rice, medical care, life care and other necessary kits for rural area and disaster victims of Nepal.

As per the agreement, CFPA would continue its social work for five years. Rabindra Kumar, the member secretary of SWC, and Wong Linzvi, the vice-chairman of China Foundation had signed the agreement paper. The assistance has been provided on the occasion of 60th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relation of Nepal-China. China foundation for poverty Alleviation is a nationwide poverty-reduction non-governmental organization, which registered with Ministry of Civil Affairs in 1989 and professionally supervised by the State Council Leading Group Office of poverty Alleviation and Development.

The organization has been supporting needy people since its inception, it is informed. Regarding to the main causes leading to poverty, CFPA has dedicated to 4 project areas of improving hygiene and health condition, promoting education equality, push forward the rural community development and carrying out disaster humanitarian aid.
