Death is universal truth as no one can escape from the grip of death. But here is a man who is waiting for his death. Mahasta Murashi is 179 years old and has claimed that he was born on 1835 AD. The governmental letters proved that he was born on that year. If his claims are truth then he will be recorded as the “Man lived for the longest period” in Guinness Book World Record. Mahashta Murasi was born in the garden city of Bangalore, India on January 6th 1835. In the year 1903 he moved to Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh state. Mahashta Murasi worked as a cobbler in the varanasi city which is popularly known as Benares until 1957, when he retired at the already venerable age of 122.
He told: "I have been alive so long, that my great grand-children have been dead for years. Somehow death forgot about me. And now there’s hardly any hope left. Look at the statistics, nobody dies past 150, even less at 170.
