Orchestra organized for fundraising to support the quake victims by Khlong Toey Music Program

The earthquake in Nepal on Tuesday added the Kathmandu’s UNESCO heritage. Human tragedies have increased after the earthquake hit in Kathmandu. The death toll increases bearing 8,000 people. However the valley and the houses are devastated due to the massive earthquake. Even the Kathmandu Valley which is the home to seven UNESCO World Heritage Sites is also destroyed. The cultural heritages of the Kathmandu Valley which display the historic and artistic scenario of the valley are devastated.

The section of Durbar Square in central Kathmandu in Basantapur confronted additional loss. The temples and palaces date from the 17th and 18th centuries but they are ruined additionally due to the second massive earthquake on Tuesday. Aura Imports Sponsorship Project is based on Klong Toey Music Program. The non-profit Khlong Toey Music Program (KTMP) makes it possible for underprivileged kids in Bangkok to learn a life-changing art, make positive connections with others, dream big, and have lots of fun in the process. Through music, kids can open doors to new opportunities while inwardly building calmness, presence, joy and a drive to express themselves.

Together with Playing For Change Foundation (PFCF), KTMP is committed to having a positive impact on children, their families and communities. Our school in the Khlong Toey slum provides a safe and uplifting space where self-esteem can strengthen and creativity flourish through weekly music lessons, rehearsals and regular performances. The program instills a sense of hope, self-worth and cross-cultural awareness in children who come from challenging circumstances. This is not just a music program, but a vital mission that helps build self-esteem and hope in young people, providing a sense of family and belonging.  Thus the  project help in fundraising for the victims of Nepal earthquake through the orchestra program.
