News in Detail
Taking lives of oneself is called suicide. The suicides are committed by people out of depression and anxiety for the future. People take their lives by themselves even because they do not want to live in the present situation may be for some pressures or for havoc. In the video below is the story of nearly 70 farmers who committed themselves every month in Maharashtra’s Marathwada.

The crisis hit in Marathwada region of Maharashtra that drive the farmers to the state that they started committing suicides. Around 47 farmers have died every month until December. The official figures for the first eight months of 2015 show say that about 69 farmers have committed suicide every month in Marathawada’s eight districts. The cases of committing suicides cannot be controlled for they are playing with the numbers.

One of the farmers committed suicide for he was tense as he didn’t know how he would repay the Rs. 2 lakh loan he taken.  Farmers have already sown 38 lakh hectares after the first spell of rain in June. Since then, an occasional drizzle is all that’s added to the landscape. The failed harvest has caused the farmers committing suicides. It would be incorrect for the farmers to take their lives. But the government has to do something to denounce such activities of taking the lives of self for the loans due to the failure in harvest.
